This wine is bright and lively and super mineral rich! Brendan Stater-West is an American winemaker who fell in love with the Loire Valley, specifically Saumur, and so he moved there and apprenticed until he could secure some vines of his own. He worked underneath Roland Guiberteau, arguably one of the greatest winemakers in Saumur and let his passion and deep love of wine guide the course of his future. His style is very lean and zippy chenin blanc, this wine comes from one small parcel, Les Chapaudaises, that's in the heart and soul of Saumur. The wine is all wet stones, apple skin and salty peaches. It’s very special, limited, and super delicious!!
