Helen's Wines
Ca di Press, Barolo, Langhe, Piemonte, Italy, Nebbiolo, 2020
Ca’di Press has quickly become one of my favorite producers in Piedmont. Their wines are ready to drink now, so while some of you might see vintage 2020 as a sign that the wine is too young, their style lends itself to drinkability and ageability. So, pop it open or pop it in the cellar, either way it’s going to be magical. It’s a family affair at this estate, dating back to the grandparents who secured vines in the LA Morra and Monforte parts of Barolo. The family had always grown amazing grapes and sold them to big, beloved Barolo producers, but since 2018 they have been making their own wine. And I just want to thank the wine gods! Because something about their grape production, extraction level and elegant touch has me totally in love. This is the perfect bottle to open on a romantic evening and share with someone you love.
