A wine with great body and fruit, but also feels super alive and energetic. This wine is primarily zinfandel with lesser parts grenache, carignan and mataro. A husband and wife team, Julian and Ali, are behind Erggelet Brothers where they have a solar run winery and as they say prefer nature and mechanics to touch screens. Back in the day, Contra Costa County was settled by Portuguese and Italian immigrants who planted various grape varietals. The vines reminded them of a home that they had left but what they brought to this part of California is depth and history. There is a lot going on in this wine. There are notes of wood, mixed berry and licorice– all tied up nicely with a fresh and fruity bow.
Serving temp: Cellar temp is ideal around 65 degrees, store in a dark and cool spot!
