The four friends behind Les Tetes always come together with the intention of making delicious wines that you can drink together with your friends. As casual as that might seem, they take everything so seriously from farming to winemaking and the wine is absolutely delicious. Chenin blanc is probably one of my favorite transitional wines. It hits when summer turns to fall and it hits when winter melts into spring. But honestly, it just hits all the time. Les Tetes is using chenin blanc that is exclusively farmed on biodynamic vineyards and grown on calcareous limestone which is basically all the things that chenin needs to thrive. The label is chic, it feels like a postcard but the wine inside is beyond elegant. There is a soft curvature to the feel and flavor of the wine that coincides with its mineral back bone to exalt a supreme balance.
Pairing: Fall soups; roasted sweet potatoes with ghee
