It’s the ultimate Cotes du Rhone, a seductive and delightful expression of southern rhone syrah. It’s completely unfair to just call it a Cotes du Rhone, it is actually from one special area called St.Julien-En-St.Alban which has an exceptional terroir resulting from the Massif Central (we could side bar on the Massif ALL day, maybe another time.) Eric Textier has been around for a while as a pioneer of organic and biodynamic wine making. He sings the sweet music to those vines and the fruit gives back. More on the medium plus side with really soft and delicate tannins, the texture is just perfect and really lovely to be around.
Serving temp: Cellar temp around 65 degrees, store in a dark and cool spot.
Pairing: Steak; Mushroom risotto; Braised short ribs
