There is something so special about Guiberteau. He was mentored by a wine maker named Foucault who is the infamous wine maker behind the iconic Clos Rougeaurd in Saumur. I once had a chance to meet Guiberteau and have dinner at his house. He was so cool, and his wines are so amazing. This is a cabernet franc from one single parcel. It has a medium bodied quality to it and this one has intensity that is peppery and velvety at the same time. Roland has always gone for quality over quantity and that really shines in this wine.
Serving temp: Cellar temp around 65 degrees, store in a dark and cool spot!!
